The Department of General Medicine, AIIMS Madurai, under the guidance of Honourable President of AIIMS Madurai, Prof Dr Prashant Lavania, and Executive Director, Prof Dr Vir Singh Negi (Additional Charge), successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on 29 July 2026 as part of the World Hepatitis Day 2026 observance The inaugural programme was followed by the felicitation of the invited speakers—Dr AC Arun, Dr Joiemon JL, and Dr Bibin George—who delivered insightful lectures on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of viral hepatitis The programme also included the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners of the HEPATOQUEST 2026 Quiz Competition and the World Hepatitis Day Poster Competition The CME witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty and students, reinforcing the importance of education, awareness, and early detection in the fight against viral hepatitis.
