Under the benevolent guidance of Honourable President Prof (Dr) Prashant Lavania and Executive Director Prof (Dr) M Hanumantha Rao, AIIMS Madurai proudly celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for its newly joined undergraduate students on November 26, 2024 The ceremony took place at the Government Ramanathapuram Medical College Auditorium (Temporary Campus), Ramanathapuram Dr Ganesh Babu, Faculty Incharge Academics, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests The programme commenced with a thought-provoking Chief Guest Address by Dr Amutha Rani, Dean of GRMC, followed by an insightful Keynote Address from our Executive Director The event concluded with the National Anthem

Under the guidance of the Honorable Executive Director Dr M Hanumantha Rao, the Department of Pathology, AIIMS Madurai, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapter of IAPM, successfully hosted a CME titled Pathology 4_0: The Digital & AI Revolution with the theme Learn with AI, Learn AI The event saw participation from over 60 attendees across various states Key features of the program included expert talks by distinguished faculty, access to engaging whole-slide images for personal viewing and annotation, multiple lightning talks, a live demonstration of a whole-slide scanner, an interactive slide seminar using whole-slide images, and an E-poster session for residents

Under the esteemed leadership of Prof (Dr) M Rao, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Madurai, the Department of Pathology organized PATHQUEST 24, a National Level Annual Pathology Quiz Program for MBBS students on International Pathology Day, celebrated on November 13, 2024 The event attracted more than 200 registrations from various institutions across India A preliminary online quiz held on November 6, 2024, narrowed down the participants for the Grand Finale, where six teams competed The winners of the quiz are as follows: First Place: Srinivasa GP & Roshni Samal from AIIMS Madurai Second Place: Hemanth Kumar E & Mogith S from Madras Medical College Third Place: Srirambabu I & S Pavan Keshav from Madurai Medical College The other teams that participated in the Grand Finale of the quiz are as follows: Aadil Sinha & Sawan Kumar Karosiya from AIIMS, Bibinagar, Hyderabad Jyoti Chaudhary & Navya from AIIMS, Madurai Ganesh Seshan & Aashik Chakravarthi from PSGIMSR, Coimbatore Prof (Dr) M Hanumantha Rao (Executive Director & CEO) and Prof (Dr) Ganesh Babu CP (Faculty In Charge – Academics & Administration) distributed the prizes

The awareness rally began at the front gate of Ramanathapuram Government Medical College Hospital and proceeded to the IOB traffic signal point District collector inaugurated the rally and the event was honored by the presence of Prof (Dr) Hanumantha Rao M, Director & CEO, Prof Dr A M Raja, Head of the Ophthalmology Department,along with other distinguished AlIMS faculty members Around 100 undergraduate MBBS students from AlIMS Madurai participated in this eye donation awareness rally The primary goal of this eye donation awareness rally was to educate the public about the importance of eye donation and to encourage them to become eye donors At the conclusion of the rally, refreshments and water were provided to all participants
